TAZA Chocolate is amazing. I went to their open house this year and was astounded by the process they use to source and make their chocolates! Yay for sustainable practices!!!

When I saw that Taza was contributing so generously from online sales to Partners in Health working in Haiti back in January, I ordered a bunch of chocolate immediately. As soon as I heard about the flood damage, I went out and placed another order. I'll be back in Somerville soon and can't wait to visit the new retail store with my Taza Bucks. We need more companies like Taza in the world, and I'll do what I can to keep them running. What goes around should indeed come around.

I'm so glad that there is a chocolate factory just a bike ride away from where we live in Somerville. When we went on a tour it was cool to see the roaster and bean extractor. We love Taza chocolate covered almonds, nibs, and bars. Yum!

We like to travel and we like to explore local food cultures. On a recent trip to Texas I was all about looking for Texas Barbecue and Real Mexican food. I was in a store in Austin and in one specialty aisle found this interestingly shaped package of Mexican Chocolate, Taza! I had mixed feelings about finding Mexican Chocolate in Texas that originated 40 miles from where I live but tried it anyway. WOW! Superb, interesting product, and local. I can't wait to buy more. So, while there will always be varying degrees of what is local; Somerville artisan Taza Chocolate is well worth looking for.

After my partner Maggie heard about the flood, she decided it was time to invest in some Taza gear and bought me a brown t-shirt with white lettering. Excited about my new threads, I wore the t-shirt immediately, and happened to visit the Harvard farmer's market. Walking past a group of girls, I heard one of them exclaim to her friends, "Omg! Did you see that guy's t-shirt? That's that Taza place I was just telling you about!" That's exactly the kind of recognition Taza deserves. Now, how about some recognition for Taza's very own walking billboard?

Just bought the Dar a Luz gift for a friend who had a baby 2 weeks ago! I can't wait till she gets it; I know she'll love it.

Also, I'm getting married next year. I wasn't planning on doing favors, but I think I will give all the guests little wheels of Mexicano chocolate. I know they'll be a hit, and I will be happy to be supporting such an amazing local company.
